Axis doe hunt at Double Arrow

My wife and I went to fill the freezer at Double Arrow a couple weeks ago. Curtis is a great guy and a gracious host, we had a wonderful time. I wasn't able to video my hunt, but I killed the first morning.

Moral of the story, wait until her head is down and she's relaxed before you release the arrow

Congrats on the 1 axis, too bad your wife missed hers. Looks like plenty of animals and a good time.

congrats! Curtis can put you on some axis that is for sure - I have been twice and gotten shots off at bucks over 30" both times. Unfortunately I missed just as your wife did.

Thank you. What's scary is that wasnt even the biggest gobbler on the place.

We had one axis buck chasing a doe in front of us for a minute or two, and if I had to guess I would say he was 38". I was telling Curtis how glad I was that I didnt have my bow, because that was a check I didnt want to write!

Thanks man, I told her if someone ever tells you they've never missed, they haven't been hunting very long.

I still couldnt believe how much that doe moved.
