Spots open for South Texas Javelina and Hog hunt

Looking for a few people for an archery Javelina and Hog hunt. Bow or crossbow only. 2 javelina, unlimited Hogs, varmints and predators. 6000ac high fenced. 15mi North of San Diego, Tx. There is a camphouse with 3 sets of bunkbeds ( 6 beds ). You can bring your own camper. Has 30A hookups A/c, grill. There are 12-15 tanks on the property. Feeders are not currently running but can get them running ahead of time for an extra charge. Roads are fed regularly and will be fed for a couple of days before we get there. Hog hunting at night is allowed. We will basically be able to hunt however, whenever we want. ( laws must be obeyed ) We will have to bring our own food, drinks and corn. This is unguided. Roads are good. 2wd is fine unless there is a lot of rain. Atv/utv allowed.

The hunt is from noon Friday June 1 till noon Sunday June 3. ( 2 days ) Due to the fact that the date is less than two weeks away, the landowner needs 50% deposit asap in order to reserve the date.

Cost is $150/day for hunters and $25/day for non hunting guests.

I have no affiliation with the landowner. I am paying exactly what everyone else is paying. I am just a guy that wants to kill a javelina and thousands of pigs with my bow.

I believe he has run two this year. IIRC his last group of 10 killed 17 javis and 4 pigs.

Ok, hopefully this will answer most of the questions asked via pm so far. It is required that all hunters sign a release. This is a MLD3 ranch. Their target this year is to kill 52 javis and many pigs. He says the pigs are over populated, they did a helicopter survey. 25 javis have been killed this year by approx 16guys. Two groups have hunted this year. There is no website yet, it is in the works. In the camphouse there is a stove, microwave, refrigerator and fire pit. The camphouse has 2 rooms one bathroom.

Kids are ok. The area with the 30a camper plugs is seperate from the camphouse. I will be paying the deposit this afternoon or tomorrow morning, depending on when he emails payment info. Also included in the email will be coordinates for the ranch for Google earth and mailing address. He can feed the roads a day or two before we get there. We can also have feeders turned on and corn added for an extra charge for corn. He says it isnt really necessary because the animals are VERY used to coming onto the roads when they are corned, but he wants to do whatever we want to do and is open to suggestions. He says usually when corning the roads, by the time he reaches the end of the road to turn around animals are alrady out there eating.

I need two other people minimum ( three total min including me ) When you know for sure you are going, please post here.

I believe we have 2 for sure and 1 maybe. Anyone else? If you have never done this before this is the time. This will be everyones first time on this ranch. If you have never spot and stalked javis we will show you how. An Atv is NOT required, in fact the owner recommends driving your truck because the animals are used to it. If you are a complete newbie you can ride with me till you figure out what you are doing. Btw, I have hunted javis before but havent actually killed my first.

I love it too! My first javi hunt was this spring with bowhuntertex's group at the Laguna Ranch and it was awesome! I didnt get one but still had a blast! I have had the hankering to go back ever since. I know hunting South Texas is old hat to some of the guys here, but that was my first trip south. It gets in your blood. Spot and stalk hunting is all excitement. There is no boredom while waiting for a few minutes of excitement like when hunting from a stand/blind. Its fun THE ENTIRE TIME.
