I took my father-in-law to our new lease yesterday in Magnolia Springs to raise a tower and fill feeders and get some game cam ****. I have 4 Stealth Cam Unit cameras. They take good pics but are battery hogs. After 3 weeks on new batteries, two of them were dead and I'd tested each cell before installing them... I was bored. I drove into Jasper cussing myself for not having the necessary 32 "just in case" batteries on me. The first one took the batteries and all is well. The second one had the red low battery light on and the LCD screen was blank. After changing them out it stayed the same... light on and blank screen. Now I'm getting ******. So I took it down and loaded it in the backpack and 4 wheeled it back outa the swamp to camp. After a 15-20 minute ride to camp it was warm to the touch and the LCD screen had some ugly spots. Any Ideas or similar Stealth Cam history? I'm gonna send it to them Monday.
I have another issue with them. I bought 4 of the 12v battery boxes from Stealth Cam and can't get any life out of them either. Nothing like driving 320 miles to find an empty SD card and dead batteries with a fully charged 12v box still plugged in. Also tried them with out the AA installed. My new lease is only 180 miles away, but its just as frustrating to pay almost a grand for cameras and accessories that don't perform.
