Today I got to see/meet Jmar! (does it count if you met at Bownanza before)
He met me at my shop to look at a camper I am trying to sell. Showed up when he said he would and only lied about his wife's age. (she is not the age she says she is, she is much younger. Probably his daughter)
Good dude!
On the way back home I come up behind a green dodge and have a sticker sighting! I pulled up beside and he got shot! He didn't run me off the road, he just smiled and waved!
Been trying to sell some excess water totes I have accumulated. Meet several TBH'rs over the last few days. Everyone did what they said they were going to do! Easy deals! You know, TBH style!
So back up to yesterday. I guess I was cheating on TBH a little but I found a used front bumper on THF that fit my sons 2001 F150. I contact the seller and we agreed in principal on a price. I tell him consider it sold, when and where do you want to meet!
He PM's me back and says it is still on his truck.
Okay, let me know when you get it off and I will come get it. He lives in Mesquite, east side of Dallas. No big deal.
He PM's me back and says I have to remove it or for an extra $50 he will get it removed. None of this was ever mentioned in the thread or via PM until now. Now I am thinking this guy is a little screwy!
Well I had already shown my 16 year old his new bumper picture and figured it would be a good lesson for him to go with me to remove the friggin' bumper so I decide to keep my thoughts about this new revelation to myself.
So I PM the guy again and say where are you located and again try to pin down a day and time to go get it.
He PM's me back he sold it to someone else. He said it was his Father that bought it from him but it really didn't matter.
Now I am upset that I have to tell my son that the bumper deal went away.
He is a smart feller so this should not be too heart breaking for him, but he will be disappointed. He already started looking at offroad lights to mount on it.
I suppose it will be a good lesson in keeping your word but it also made me realize, that crap just never happens here on the green screen.
I am sure it is God's way of telling me I didn't need that particular bumper for reasons I will never know.
Anyway, here's to TBH! (picture me pinky swiggin')
