Im in the process of transporting some fish from one private tank to another. Anyone have some DIY aerators? Worth a shot to ask without having to buy something.

a bag of ice and some "please release me" from BPS would be enough for the 2 hour trip. You can get a bilge pump with alligator clips and hook it up to a battery. put a hose on the output and run it up out of the water and let it shoot back down. Devin may have a DIY shad tank we made back in the day.

Simply run the wires out and attach alligator clips on them to clamp on a 12v battery.
KEEP THE WATER COOL!! Monitor the water they're in and match that temp in your cooler/tank.
If you're using tap water to fill your cooler, some fish will die without removing the chlorine. It's best to treat the water with blue water treatment and a pinch of non iodized salt. If that's not an option, use the water they're in now. The only bad thing about that is the water will foam up with the aerator going.

You definitely need an aerator. There's no faster way to kill a fish (short of shooting it) than smothering them in water void of oxygen. Also, be sure to put some kind of cover partially over the top of your container. Leave a bit of an opening to allow water sloshing etc...but small enough the fish won't jump out.
