We will be driving to Minnesota to drop off my son and vehicle for his summer internship job. I have checked the reciprocity map and I am good. But, I will be flying from Minneapolis to Chicago, Illinois only allows criminals and police to carry. Hate to drive cross country without protection. Is it possible to put it in my Nanovault case and mail it back home when I get to Minnesota? Mail to the gun shop? Responsible advice from leo's or anyone who has been in this dilemma would be appreciated. thanks

I thought it was a federal offense to mail(USPS) a gun. Granted I've "thought" wrong before. Fedex or UPS I believe are the only options.Comment
