Anyone with KB Homes in Austin

The wife and I walked into an "in progress" home today that the buyers walked away from mid build. Looks like we may be going from 1900 square feet to 3425...

I had a few questions for somebody in the know.

Oh yea and what color should I paint the new media room to best benefit the Sony LCD and my mounts?

I have a friend who is one of the main superintendants in SA and I wouldn't buy a home from them with what I have heard from him.

I don't know how KB is in Austin, but from what I've seen in SA at one of my running buddies houses (Who build a house without eaves?), not to mention all the problems they had with the Mirasol project I'd be real wary.

I am not a housing guru, but as said previously, they do not carry a good name here in San Antonio. This is the only city that I have ever seen an active protest against a builder. I was driving down 281 last year around the airport and there was probably around 100 grumpy protesters in front of a KB office. I think their downfall is that they build them too fast..... just my .02
