the ones in our garage are GCFI.. but they are connected to the plugs on the outside of the house, which kinda sucks because we have a fridge and a big freezer connected to it, so if the plug outside gets tripped for anyreason we lose all the meat in freezer...
I would remove the one outside[wire nut and blank cover] and change the ones in the garage. Your going to lose all one of these days.
