Keep's first week group is headed back to Forrestville on Saturday on the 7th anual Trek to Quebec Spring Bear Hunt.
Included in the most awesome of groups is:
Our fearless leader, Keep, 7 year veteran.
The past star of Fantasy Island, Texastaxi, 2nd year.
The gentle giant and breakfast master, TX Ziggy, 2nd year.
The one that rows a boat in circles, Vantage Point, 2nd year.
The one the village keeps calling about, Bowhica, 1st year.
The one that I haven't quite figured out, Leftridge, 1st year.
There's two others, but I'm not sure if they're on TBH.
Here's my idea. We'll have a live hunt thread going. Before each hunt we can each draw a name and write it on an arrow ... the one that would be the missle for that day. Similar to many great African hunters that walk among us and have taken named arrows to the stand, your arrow could kill the bear. (I'd write a name on each arrow, but let's face it, I don't want to walk around with a bunch of named arrows when most likely only one will get bloody.) I haven't asked the other guys, but I'm sure they'll be game to participate. Cutoff time for entry will have to be around 5PM on Friday so I can make the names and get them packed with my stuff before we leave early Saturday morning.
I can't promise all the hunters will participate, but I think they will.
If you want your name thrown in the hat, sign up!
