You have a progressive press, don't you?

              Nice work!

I wish! I coulda turned out twice that much with a progressive. Just a good old Forster Co-Ax press.

I did kinda cheat though. I recruited my son to help with the cases that needed to be primed and I had already primed and expanded the case mouths on a lot of them a while back.

Hahaha, I would think so too, but the Forster press has a lot of leverage even on the big cartridges.

The 41 mag and 45ACP was a piece of cake.

I've been collecting brass for a while now, and I should do the same thing, just take a day or two off and load up ammo for all my weapons. Problem is, I'd have to take a month off just to prep all the brass, and I weigh every single powder charge as my powder measure has been hit/miss since day one, sometimes it'll throw not enough, other times too much (by 0.1gr) so I weigh and trickle every charge for consistency. That much ammo would take me a week or better. Now, as fas as my .223 and handgun stuff, I just need to get a progressive, because I can load for 2 hours, and and once my AR comes out of the case....it'll all be gone in less than 10 minutes.

I used to be the same way. I measured every single charge on every single round I loaded. But now for pistol practice rounds, I spot check every 25 rounds just to make sure its still throwing accurately. My dispenser has shown to be very accurate. I just don't fret over .1 or .2 grains as I don't load near max capacities. I do a visual check of the cases with a flashlight after I throw them all to check for double charges and such.

Now my rifle cartridges are a totally different ball game. I bought an RCBS electronic dispenser and scale so every single charge gets weighed.

Yeah, I'm wanting one of those electronic powder dispenser/scales myself. Right now, I'm using the RCBS powder measure, and the 505 balance scale, and using an empty case as my "trickler". Those electonic dispenser/scales.....are they as accurate as the balance beam, worth the money? What I mean is, have you checked the electronic against the old style to make sure they're the same? Would you buy another?

I sure like it. If you find a pet recipe your gun likes, you can save it in memory. And yes, I always calibrate it and double check it against my regular scale when I start a new loading session.
