Figured I'd start a "live" thread as opposed to add to this one.
Amy had her 36-week appointment on Thursday. Her blood pressure was up a bit, and the doctor was worried about preeclampsia, so she ordered blood work and sent her home to rest for the weekend.
Yesterday, the doctor called back and confirmed that she did have mild preeclampsia and wanted her to go to the hospital to stay until the baby was delivered, which she then scheduled for 7:30 am Monday morning. We knew from the beginning that Amy would need a c-section, so that's how we'll do it.
We had a late night last night. The staff is pretty busy, and several moms had been admitted at the same time. We had an ultrasound at about 11:20 pm and the tech gave the baby 8 out of 8 points on his "good baby" scale, so that was exciting.
Mom and baby are doing well, so it looks like Monday will really be the date. That's pretty special since it's my grandmother's birthday, so we really hope it works out that way.
I'll go ahead and ask for some prayers for my wife and daughter to come!
