    Bringing in Axis?

I've got a question for the GS. I'm taking a couple TBHers Monday to hunt just outside of Rocksprings for axis, pigs and audad. My question is this, what have you used, with success, to draw axis in? We will get there early Monday morning and will leave out mid day Wednesday so we have a small window. All feeders will be filled and spinning as well as protein.

This will be the first time I have hunted the place. No other hunters are on the property and the neighbors only go out a couple three times a year so there's no pressure on the animals. They are free range and have some TC pics of many animals 4 months ago. No one has tended to the feeders since November.

I will be keeping feeders filled year round now but I'm wanting this trip to be a success for the guys I'm taking with me. I can go back whenever so I'm not concerned if I harvest or not I just want them to be able to. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have heard that but I was also told that will take them a bit to come to it if they aren't use to it.

If they're free ranging they're used to it from somebody! The feed store there can hardly keep it in stock during the season. Try alfalfa pellets too, they love those as well.

Will give it a shot! I can pick a square up here before we head out.

          Thanks

If we were passing through RR I'd stop and get some from you.

When you first get there corn the roads close to the hunting spots. I have found the leery of feeders.

Any problem shooting them from a vehicle, if they don't come to the feeders?

I can shoot 'em from the four wheeler but I don't think they'll let me get close enough to stick them.
