    Sneaky Feed Update

During the off season we spent a lot of time working on these timers so that Android and Apple devices can use the same timer. Long story short, they are ALL WIFI versions now. This means range is going to be better than Bluetooth and now they are easier to connect.

The only difference for Apple customers with the new timer and the new app is how you connect. Instead of having to setup a Static IP address you now only have to make the first connection, let it connect and be done. Everything else works exactly the same.

We held all after season dealer shipments until now so that the units on the shelf have the latest firmware to go along with this new app.

So here is what you need to know:

Existing Customers will see no difference even after downloading the new app.

There will be a new Droid app released tomorrow, this new app will NOT work on the few Bluetooth based timers that are out there, so make sure you keep your exisitng app.

    Exisiting Customer options:

1.) Keep what you have and enjoy, just know if you add more they will all be WIFI from here on out. This only affects the Droid customers.

2.) Send your existing timer in and we will swap it out for free to the new version, we ask that you please cover shipping. Shipping should be plenty cheap within the state.

3.) Give us a CC# to charge for the price of new timer and we will send new timers to you. When we recieve the old timers we will credit the full amount from the card for the timers. Once again, please cover shipping.

4.) Do nothing but, cuss me since we keep making updates, I am sorry, I am just never satisfied!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Long term this is the best option for both us and for you. If you need to sell these at some point they will work for pretty much everyone since they are not device specific.

Thanks for working through this with us, especially to our Android customer base!

Also a shameless link for those that have NO clue what I am talking about.

Also we are now using Facebook as an alternate news, updates and support tool. Like all FB pages we will do promos and give-aways to keep things interesting.

Why do you need a cc#? If I send mine back can't you wait until you get them, fix them and then return them back to me? I can pay shipping both ways or drop off in person if possible.

I don't need your CC#. I actually would prefer to not have it as it costs me money to refund the charges. I also understand that some people need to make the trip and do the swap there on site and not be down for a week until they return. I would personally prefer to just send the new ones out without charging but, I would see very few back. Unforunately not everyone is honest unless you force it.

I am trying to basically offer ANY option that works for you and makes it as easy as possible. I don't know too many people that would even offer to ship brand new ones to swap out for no cost because of an update/upgrade.

I just want happy customers so we will tailor our needs to yours.

So if I have an older model with the in-line block type fuse that I haven't used yet or installed....what do I need to do to get the new product? I have it sitting at the house and haven't used it yet.

Mine are in the same condition. Still new and unused in the box.

Going to have to check into this. Do you happen to have any pics of it installed and the installation process?

We installed 3 of them 2 weeks ago, lol, these things are bad arse. Technology is great. You can control the feeder using an app on your phone. Not enough corn on the ground? Simply open the app and adjust how long you want the feeder to spray (second increments) and watch the corn fly. It's awesome. It also will tell you, based on how much corn you set it to dispense, how much corn you have left in each feeder.

Does it still use the existing timer or does this replace? I am getting some new directionals and want to give these a shot on them. I'm just unsure how the setup works. I looked online and there were no instructions, said pdf coming.

It replaces the existing timer. So all you've got in the box is the Sneaky Feed and a battery. The only installation we did was drill a hole for the antennae to come out of. I THINK it said to put them on the outside of the box but Wes felt it was more safe and secure inside and out of the elements. It took all of 10 seconds to drill the hole. We put two sided sticky tape on the back of the Sneaky Feed and stuck it to the back wall of the aluminum box, stuck the antennae through the bottom, and had no problems. Until I broke a drill bit by pushing too hard

BTW, we have one directional feeder too, we have to go back out there and do that last one probably this weekend.

Is it plung n play? How does it wire up to the motor and such?

Q, I have another question, I'll be using an iPhone for my sneaky feeds, do I need the upgrade or can I get by with what I have? I think most of the upgrades benefit the droid if I read all that right.

If we are in the DFW area can we come by and swap them out? Do we need to pull the batteries out of the old ones first? I got 3 and love them. We have 6 total I believe to swap out.
