Sorry for yalls loss, the fact that you are hurting shows your character, it shows your love for a friend.

It would be hard for me to trust a man who didnt cry or mourn the loss of a devoted dog. Prayers for you and yours.

It was an emotional thing. We brought her home so that the two little dogs could see her one last time before the crematorium picks her up. My memories will last a lifetime. She was with me for almost 1/2 of my life.

      So very sorry again Matt...

Sorry to hear bud. Stay strong and when the time comes there are a lot of great dogs that need a good home to help fill the void.

Tough read bro. Thanks for letting us get to know Xena a little. She's a keeper for sure.

I dread the day my Blue Heeler is no longer with me. I am doing the same thing you are and when I die she will be buried with me. I don't think I will ever get another Blue Heeler, it just wouldn't be the same. I do have a young Blue Lacy, but he 'is my sons'.

I am so sorry you had to do this. Prayers for you and Xena.

Man I got dust in my eyes. They really need to check the air ducts...who am I kidding...I am crying like a baby.

That's pretty rough to read brother. Prayers sent,
Time will heal the wound eventually. However no other pet will replace that one fully in any amount of time.

I had to put down my ol forum namesake Hoss a couple of years ago, after 13 years of devoted service and friendship...so I know just what you're going through.
                      Prayers and wishes.

As others have said, get another dog as soon as you feel up to it.
You'll never replace your girl, but a new pup sure helps fill the void.

Hoping your pain is replaced with the good memories, that come from owning a good dog!

My prayers are with you, your family and especially Xena. It's a hard time and Xena left knowing she was loved and will be watching over you from now on from above. Sorry for your lose.

Its a hard thing to do brother. I had to put my husky down after 13 years. Im not sure what was harder, watching him suffer or putting him down. As hard as it was I put him down, but now he is resting in peace. P.S thats him in my avatar
