    Axis deer feed question

Has anyone had luck with any particular feed for axis deer. I know they don't come to corn real well. I have heard that they like sweet feed? What is this? Any help would be useful. They are grass grazers and I know they like Alfalfa but some have said that during the summer months it gets to hot for them. Looking for something I can spread around or dispense out of a feeder that will bring them in. Anybody had luck with Golden Nuggets?

I was told that they love alfalfa...I was looking at some property south of junction and they had square bail feeders out for 'em

Alfalfa does the job most of the time. I have used Chaffhaye with good results to get them started on eating plain alfalfa.

I've used cow pellets before, worked good!

We feed the corn and alfalfa year round! During season we toss a mixture of sweet feed and corn out and they rip it apart too!

Basically horse feed. Has Molasses in it.

Who said they don't like corn?

Put alfalfa and "buck candy" corn about 20ft away from each other and they will go back and forth til both are gone. they will almost fight over either of them.
