    Best place to bear hunt?????

Dad and I want to go bear hunting next year. Neither of us has been, but I know a lot of guys on here go every year. I'm looking for a good place in the states or Canada that have high concentrations of big bears(black). I don't know if we will ever go again together so I want to do it right this time. Btw, he will rifle hunt but I'll go bow only.

If you want a chance at a BIG (7') black, look at going on a coastal hunt in Alaska.

And there are some studds. Look at Landrovers.

Big bear country outfitters in northern Alberta. They got one on their website that is an 8 ft chocolate bear. They have good packages and IMO are very reasonably priced.

Oscar's bear isn't a "typical" bear for that area. There are a few that big killed every year, but it's not the norm. Plus, Oscar is half Irish ... or at least he's borrowed that lineage for his luck!
