so here is the deal.
I have started hunting with my 22-250 and was absolutly blown away by its performance. I knew it was a good round but had always used my 30-06.
My dad has gotten into reloading for his .223 and has shot so many different rounds and has finnally settled on one he likes the best and it is devestating on anything he shoots. I want to work up more loads for my 250, going to try the barnes bullets and heavier pills up to 70 grains. they are long and need the faster twist.
I am looking for a gun with a 1-8 twist. I have not found an off the shelf with that twist, unless I am mising it.
My current one is a rem 700, would you junk the barrel, stock, and trigger? only use the action and build up?
or sell it as is and buy new? not looking for any other type of caliber so that is out of the question. Are the aftermarket barrels out there worth the money they cost and can the rem 700 action be tuned to perfection?
thanks ryan
