I wouldn't bother. Just let it sit out there and they will get used to it.

Brush it in with about 50# of corn. Once the deer eat all of your "cover", they'll be friends with the blind.

We actually bought a ranch there a couple years back. It's at the intersection of 380 and 208.

It cost me about $700-800 to build it. I got my windows from deer view windows, great guys. Its on a 6'5" wide base and 6'5" tall. Here are some pics.

I agree with others. It is a permanent blind, they will get used to it shortly.

We are not that far apart. We are on down 70 towards Rotan about 7 miles and back towards the Brazos on Cty 438. Any of those hunting camps on the NE corner of the intersection yours? I go by that intersection everytime I go to the lease.

I agree, when I was hunting Ft Hood none of their blinds were brushed in and the deer still came through with no problem...they just get used to it as part of the everyday scenery!

I don't use mesh so I think having brush around the windows helps conceal movement. It very well may not make any difference to the deer - just a confidence-builder for me - but I like it!

watch your movement, black out in the blind and control your scent and you'll be fine. I have blinds with at least that presence that are not covered a bit and I've shot plenty of deer and hogs out of them.

I'm actually at the other intersection west of town going down to Snyder. Can't miss us. I have a big sign that says La Bonita Ranch. It's a great part of the country. How was yalls deer harvest this past season. I got this guy at 25 yards, first muley, still in velvet and three drop tines.

I will have to look for the sign. Nice muley. Most of the muleys stay north of the river which is about 200 yards north of our lease. teh drought killed us last year and my this year. No deer to speak off, waht what mature was all busted up and the hogs left in Sept. and the does dissapeared in November. All we saw at feeders and around in Dec was bucks.

We need to get together sometime either around the leases or with a bunch of other TBH'ers here in Lubbock, probably after turkey season ends.

I brush my pop up blinds in with dead brush and just lay it around the blind just to break up the bottom line where it meets the ground
