Never seen the Indigo but I have seen the Painted Buntings in Bee County; very pretty birds.

They should be all over the hilcountry making their migration. Look for them sitting on top of dried seed laden stalks and then dating back to the canopy of the trees. My folks in North east Texas have them visit very frequently. Two of my favorites.
