So, Took The Daughter To Sere The "Hunger Games"

And now she wants to shoot with me. Thinking of heading down to J&J this weekend and seeing about a Mathews Genesis. Anyone have experience with one of these?

It's a good beginners bow to learn on.

        How old is she
For the younger kids, the mini genesis is a better fit

Gonna rig the daughter and boy both up. She's 10 and he's 7.

Well, those bows are okay.....but.....I would recommend one of the regular compounds that are made to change when the person grows or gets stronger. I like the let off.

With my two daughters, I always felt that I wanted them to have good equipment that they could learn to shoot quickly. I wanted them to have success as soon as possible so that it would be more fun, and they might stick with it.

I think it would be harder to get good with a genesis. They are great for what they are intended for, that is to be shot by a wide range of people. Teaching basics or at a school where the same bow has to be handed from kid to kid. But that is just my opinion. As long as they are shooting something, you are on the right road.
