    Score this deer

Starting a new lease this year, looks like some HUGE deer have come off of it, including the pic in my avatar, which came off a trail cam 3 years ago.

Assuming the other side of the rack is proportionate with the side we can see here, what say ye of his score.

Also, any good websites I can visit and practice scoring deer? Or a "how to"? Thanks.

Some quick scribbling brings me to low-mid 40's

Agree. Leanin on the low '40's. Takes one helluva 8 to break 150.

          150ish

And to answer the practice question, try and look up scoring threads on here were the OP was able to harvest the deer and has the actual score

I came up with mid 140's. I was supprised, thought it would be higher. He's impressive for an 8.

I'm not used to seeing deer this big, so he's a monster to me.

Huge 8's are more often than not overscored on the hoof. Doesnt really matter. That is a stud.

I'd say 145 but may push close to 150. Hard to tell with one angle.

I shot a 150" 8 point this past season and that deer is bigger than he was (mass & brows). I bet he is 155" or so - even if he ends up being 138" he is still a TOAD of an 8 point - good luck on getting on him
