Not so good week so far

My stepdad passed away this weekend. I found out Monday morning. We have been busy with all of the particulars the last two days. We lay him to rest on Thursday.

He did not come into my life until I was about 19 years old, but he has made a positive impact ever since. He taught me many things, some I still had to learn the hard way even after him telling me otherwise.

I am glad we had some time to hunt together. I wish we would have had more. He was a good person and is gonna be missed very much by all who knew him.

Sorry for your loss. It sounds like he was a very positive influence on your life. Just try to remember the positive attributes that he instilled in your life and do the best that you can. i am sure that he would be proud of you if you do that. You will miss him sure, but you can always pass on what he taught you and then some. Hang in there champ!

Sorry for the loss. My Father died when I was 7 and my Mom remarried when I was 10. My step Dad was the one to start me hunting and fishing. I never introduced him as my step Dad, always as my Dad. I miss him a bunch.

I too was raised by a stepdad. I lost him in 2000. He was the best man I ever knew.
