But she was a good un. I took my wife and brother out Saturday and stopped at one of my honey holes. We were heading back to the ramp 20 minutes later with this girl. 7'5" and 168lbs. I've shot some big gator gar with both of them in the past but this was the first time they were both on the boat with me at the same time so this made it extra special.

Thanks guys, I don't have a guide's license (plus I couldn't stand being on the boat and not being able to shoot ) But the most established gator gar guide in the country just so happens to be on tbh. PM garguys and he can set you up!

Contrary to what alot of people say gator gar is actually really good. Carp on the other hand, keep the buzzards around my place pretty happy

Mambo chain of restraunts in Houston sell fried gar and it is ......awsome! Tried cleaning the last one I caught and the smell got to me. Maybe I should have been cleaning it outside instead of on the kitchen counter.
