I built a king size bed and I've Never bought a mattress before and I'm not sure of where would be the best place to get an affordable mattress and box spring set. Not looking for a big fancy one. Just a comfortable bed that doesn't break the bank. Any help from the gs?

Mattress hunting was second only to new car shopping on my list of things I hate to do...
we did find good cheap mattresses for the little kiddos at Mattress King.
Adult beds can get pricey for ones that last... you can get cheap ones at SAMS I think..(least 15 years ago you could..)Comment

Mattress firm is where we went 2 years ago. Got a really good deal on bed that was used at a boat show for 2 days. You pay for what u get in bed and I hate going cheap on things u use every day.Comment

The roomstore is going out of business so everything is on sale right now, they might be worth a look.
Mattress firm is the cheapest "mattress store" in my area.
my buddy bought one from a no name mattress wholesale place, got a really nice mattress for about half retail price.Comment
