    McMullen County ELK????

Had a cow elk at 50 yards Saturday morning. Could not film her due to the fog. I was flabergahsted. She milled around for a little while then slipped away into the fog and I never saw her again. Dangdest thing I ever saw in South Texas. She is obviously an escapee from someones game ranch.

No nothin. The dadgum vidoe camera would only focus on the fog.

That is awesome!! I have seen them on several game ranches. It is only a matter of time before they have a huntable population like Axis, Fallow and Sika.

with all the rain in the spring it doesnt surprise me, I am sure alot of high fence ranches lost exotics bc of damaged fences due to the rain.

If it was me, I'd be back out there hunting her after the season. Lots of steaks will be found on an elk, even a cow elk.

The best part they are considered exotics!!!!!!!!!!!

Every year I hear about some lucky guy that shoots a elk on his low fence propertiy. I would love to have a lonely cow elk show up, only to get an arrow in her.

I might even have to purchase an extra freezer for all the meat!

i beleive at 50 yards a 500 plus pound elk would quickly find an arrow in it... and me standing over it scratching my head as to how it walked out in front of me

GT, those elk have been there for years. I actually have VIDEO of the owner chasing them away from the highway shooting them with a BB gun off an ATV. At first I thought he was gonna shoot them right in front of me with me videoing from the hiway until I saw him cock the Daisy Rider
