    Custom Made Boots

Just got back from the Mule Barn in Madisonville, and WOW do they have some nice boots! They're having a trunk show with reps from Anderson Bean and Rios of Mercedes right now. Some of the nicest people ever, and they got me hooked up with my first pair of custom made boots. I went with a brandy colored ostrich vamp, a 13" turquoise top with all sorts of stitching, white piping, and a white color across the top.
    THEY'RE GONNA BE AWESOME!
I've also got an order in for a pair of Carpincho skin boots. This type of leather was new to me, but after seeing/feeling it, and hearing how soft but also durable it is, I was sold. If you haven't heard of it, I highly recommend checking it out. It is actually from the South America rodent, the Capybara.

If you're looking for some great boots you should definitely check out the Mule Barn. They'll be having this trunk show through this Saturday, and they can put together any and every type of boot you could dream of.

Cool, post up some pics when you get them. Whats the turnaround time on having boots made?

Will do, I bought some Rios also that I brought home today for my wedding next month. I'll post a puff of them too. They says it would be 4-5 months until I get the custom pair.

I went down there yesterday with my fiance and we designed some custom boots for our wedding. This is the second time I have gone to the trunk show and designed some boots. First time I got Anderson Beans and was very happy with the process. Took a little longer than I wanted but only took about 4-5 months.

This time we both went with Rios. Spent more than I wanted to but o well. Its just money. We both got black bottoms with blue lave tops with a white "V" inlay ( my last initial) and white piping with white and black stitching. My bottoms are stingray and hers are a black shiny floral print. They are both going to be awesome.

I highly recommend anyone thinking of getting new boots go see Mrs. Nancy at the mule barn by Saturday and design your own. You wont be disappointed

How often do they do the "trunk sale"? I want to try some of those square toe jobs.

I like those, love the square toes, very comfortable. AB's are the only boots I wear but there's a pair of Luchesse ostrich at Cavendars that are flirting with me and trying to get me to stray.

They're not cheap! Depends on the type of leather and other things you get
                        them.
