    Question about Texas border security

We've all heard about the issues with the drug cartel on the boarders of Arizona, half of Kalifornia is probably illegals, and I don't think New Mexico is doing any better.

But I don't hear about the cartel invading the borders of Texas - I wonder if it's because they're afraid of well armed Texans not taking any crap and shooting back?

There def here, I have heard the reason we dont hear much about it in the news is the fear of retaliation from the cartels, to whom ever is reporting it!

Mostly, El Paso/Juarez areas. But, it is happenimg down south border, as well. Kidnapping/ransom money, forcing becoming a mule and such. Yes. It is happening.

            It's a supply demand relationship.

They are here but the roles are more defined on this side. The majority of the violence is about who gets to supply us with our drugs.

The violence is about greed and power.
They could give a crap who buys their wares.

It's really simple-if the people in the US didn't buy/use drugs there wouldn't be a market here. If you burn one from time to time or bump it ocasionally etc. you are contributing to the cartels livelyhood.

                  Sorta

It's called "controlling the plaza" or "controlando la plaza" which is all about controlling distribution. Sure, greed and power are part of it but whoever controls distribution is the one who gets to sit on the pile of US money.

I say stock the rio grand with piranha and alligators maybe a few of those big anacondas and the problem would take care of itself .

The Federal government is responsible for securing the border, what a joke. Good luck with that.

Yup! Especially the.notorious MS13 is now dominating all over the U.S. They are brutal killers. Kidnapping, extortion, robbery, murders, and also scaring anyone who threats their power to.control, even medias, Mayors, and other.officials.

what came first..chicken or the egg?
                            distribution or demand?

You're right. They couldn't sell or have a distribution territory to fight over if there wasn't someone with money (the northern land neighbors) close buying what they were selling.
The type of currentcy is purely a factor of who has the money to buy it..and is easiest to sell to.
If Cuba was easier to distribute to, and had a free society that could spend their money how they wanted, ..the 'plaza' would be heading the other direction.
