Just bought myself some tannerite and I am planning on using it this weekend. I just wanted to check with those that have used it before: does it make a flame when exploding? After last year and all the fires, I want to be cautious before I use it. Also, if I bought the 1/2 lb size, how far away do I need to be before shooting it?

Yes, it flames. Stay at least a 100 yards back, though it depends on how much you are using. And please don't put it next to a tree that you like.
I have witnessed 8 lbs. of the stuff going up. It is a blast! lol. -

Yes, it all flames, I wasn't saying it will flame 100 yards, just stay back and wear hearing and eye protection. It will throw stuff at you and it is LOUD, AND it will also start a fire if you are not careful (which is what I meant when I said it flames, and flame is on a lot of peoples minds here lately/last year).Originally posted by BadtotheBow View Post

All my experience with the stuff was no flame at all, couldnt start any fires. We had a blast with it even during burn ban.Comment

No there is no flame. It is a binary explosion. Check out their website- says no flame. It just goes boom. I've used it a ton and there has never been a flame.Comment
