    Port A info

I'll be taking my girlfriend out next weekend for a mini vacation and this is my first time going. Is there a nice restaurant on the bay where we can sit outside, eat, and watch the sunset?

    kinda like Amberjacks on SPI.

Virginas on the bay or trout street. Trout street is a nicer place but we like virginas better.

THIS - We ALWAYS hit up Virginas and SOMETIMES hit up Trout Street - Either one will be good for what you are wanting. Eat late and then walk down a ways to the Back Porch Bar and listen to some music

if you want more of a laid back place check out fins. they have a porch also but not as "dressy" or nice i guess. It's just over the ferry. troutstreet is very good though.

If it's crowded as sin in Port Aransas......don't forget, you can also zip south along the coastline and run south down to Snoopy's Pier Restaurant which sits below and south of the JFK causeway over the Upper Laguna Madre. The layout is open and the view overlooks the Laguna Madre staring to the west. So at sunset, the winds blow in from the front, thru and out the back keeping things cool as you sit on the back deck and stare out over the Laguna Madre as the sun winds down. The decor....tons of offshore rods and reels...many of them old school marlin and offshore setups...wooden tables and chairs with indoor and outdoor seating...all of it cooled by the Gulf winds.

Not many places to chill that overlook the Laguna Madre....just thought I would toss that out there....the BEST FISHERY IN TEXAS BAR NONE!!!!! You can toss a line out as you eat....if you are into that that too
