Here's how I made plexiglass slidng glass windows. I made my blind out of 2x2 framing. I framed out a window with 2x2's. I measured the size of the opening and I cut the plexiglass the height of the opening and cut them a couple of inches longer than 1/2 the length. I went to Lowes and bought the plastic channel that is used on installing lattice. I cut two pieces about three inches longer than the window opening and then an inch and a half from each end I cut one side of the channel off leaving the other side as a tab. I then mounted one piece on the top of the opening using drywall screw. Take the two pieces of plexiglass and stack together and slip them into the top channel then take the other piece and slip the bottom of the plexiglass pieces into the channel that will be at the bottom of the window opening and screw the tab at each end of that piece to the window frame. Spread the two piecses of plexiglass and they should cover the opening and overlap in the middle by an inch or two. Put some kind of knob on each piece of plexiglass on opposite ends and there you go.
