    Photoshop Gurus!!! I need Help.

I want to learn how to make everything black and white but certain parts of a picture. I am using adobe photoshop elements. Do I have to seperate the layers? What tool do I use to do that?

    Thanks!

I don't know about Adobe Photoshop...I use Xara Xtreme to do it.

Just a quick one...5 min or so, Yellow and Green eye and Red lips.

Let me try to remember, i havnt installed PhotoShop on my new PC yet.

Use the lasso tool and trace what you DONT want black and white. I think after you have connected the dots you can hold down Ctrl and start another area if you want to do more than one (eyes for example)

Then when your done, umm... right click inside there and select..."deselect"...or...invert..or something like that

After youve done that you can adjust the brightness or color.

        Hope this helped..some

Thanks henry. That is what I was looking for. I was not sure if it was the lasso tool ot the magic wand.

It's been a while since I used Photoshop, I generally use Ulead's iPhoto Plus to do any editing since I find it easier to use. But if I remember correctly, Henry is dead on. Select the area, choose inverse I believe, then change the colors. Just save a copy of the pic first and play with it without the fear of losing the original.

            Have fun!

If I didn't think my opinion was right, then it wouldn't be my opinion. So, any other opinion must be wrong, therefore stupid.
