    Predator Method?

I'd really like to take a yote with a bow, but would they come within 25 yards with a remote call and decoy? Or should I just employ the rifle?

I you have a fenceline. Set up on the opposite side of it from where the yote will be coming from. When you call em in they like to run to the fence line and kinda use it as cover. They pace it and watch from it. Should give you a decent shot. I'd have the rifle at my side just incase though.

A good tree line will work just the same

I am going to try the same thing hopefully this year. I think it will work.

My cousin once had a coyote BITE the tape recorder that was playing the wounded rabbit tape - while he had the recorder sitting between his legs on the ground.

I've had them come up so close to my pickup that I couldn't see them over the tailgate before (while calling).

It's possible to get them within bow range, as long as they haven't been called in, shot at, and missed before. They learn.

HA! I bet having a coyote bite towards your crotch is a bad bad feeling!!! Not to self - no rabbit noises near crotch!

old home sites and barns work well too. around where i live you can still see some old farm houses from years ago. or a double bull would probably work. i shot one out of a brush pile that had been pushed up by a dozer. called him in to less than 20 yards. one tip: draw EARLY! good luck.

I have been lucky enough to take several coyotes and bobcats with my bow, like others have said, old home sites, fencelines and brush and yes get drawn EARLY!!

Draw Early? Meaning before you know it they are on top of you? will they run if they notice the additional movement?

Coyotes catch on to movement pretty quick. I would turn the caller completly off when you first see them coming in. Lip squeak them in the rest of the way (make them hunt you). If your using the bow hopefully you can pick your time to draw. If not hit them with the shot gun.

Yes, but you will need a decoy like Predator Supreme...they work.
