    Face Paint by Bobby Weiner

Pretty good article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram on her. She was make up on the Titanic set. Years later she was approached by the Military for camo face paint that wouldn't caused their skin to break out.

Now the defense sales now make up 90 percent of her business -- and that includes a number of foreign militaries. The rest is split among college face paint, hunting camo, Halloween makeup and comic books.

I found her camo on EBay. The 5 color pack is far cheaper that her web site.

Thought I would give it a try.

I quit using the solid camo face paint and went to a "creme" face paint from Hunters Specialties. It may not be QUITE as sweat proof (about 85%-90%) as the solid stuff but it goes on MUCH easier (so you don't have to rub your skin raw getting it on), covers better and doesn't cause any breakouts for me or any of my friends that use it. It's pretty cheap and lasts a LONG time because a little bit of the creme can be spread a long way.

One of the best things about the HS creme is the cleanup. It won't come clean with just water but a little soap and it comes off easy-shpeasy!!

I think a lot of the skin issues that people have had with solid (cake or stick) camo paint have been related to all the rough treatment of the skin in applying it and removing it.

Since I manage and guide for a year round bowhunting ranch, I have paint on at least a couple times a week all year; and during deer season I sometimes have it on 7 days a week I use camo paint on my hands and face every time I hunt and I've tried most of the brands and the creme style paint has been FAR better than the solid stuff, for me. In fact, I have it on as I'm typing this cuz I'm turkey hunting.

If you've never tried the creme paint, and you don't end up liking the stuff you posted about, give it a try. Also, you might try using makeup remover pads from Walmart to take off whatever paint you use - its a more gentle cleaner and won't dry out your skin which can contribute to breakouts.

Might try that too. I had some back in my Military days would tear my face up.
