Can you bring your own liquor on a plane?

I thought you could bring anything bought inside the secure area.
Bottled water, cokes, etc... Just wondered if liquor was ok?

Don't think you can buy booz inside the airport except by the drink.

You can buy bottles of liqour in the airport at the bigger airports. You can't necessarily bring it into the airport, but you could put it in your bag that you check if you had a bottle you wanted to bring with you.

It can be checked on board in your luggage but you cannot bring it in your carry-on bags!

I usually drink 2-3 quick ones before I board in the bar! Makes me sleep better!

If you buy it in the airport on the air side (inside security), you can bring it on the plane with you. That doesn't mean you can sit there and sip it. I reckon they'd frown on that. I assume you're talking about the duty free shops one would find in Intercontinental.

Yes, that what I'm talking about. Just didn't know if airlines allowed it.

I've brought bottles of water and even a subway sandwich on flights with southwest before.

Just trying to figure out if I can bring a bottle on my flight to cancun next month.
