    Easy Euro mount

I heard this works, never tried it. Some may know but here it is.

Bury it. I was told if you leave there for long enough the bugs eat it cleaner than beetles.

    Just an idea.

It works, but won't clean it as good as beetle's. Then you get to clean all the diet and other mess off.

I got a button buck in my compost. It is coming along. Skin is gone but he still has eye ball and some tongue. This is after 3 months.

Doing that could permanently stain the bone. Better idea is set it in a bucket of water. Cover with a heavy trash bag and let it rot. You can add water every week or as needed. All the meat will fall off and it will be pretty clean. You may have to fine the teeth or nose piece that falls off and reattach. The you can whiten in peroxide. This will get it pretty white. If you want it perfect you have to degrease.

We do several rams each year and best I've found is to put the skull in a 55 gallon barell away from or down wind of your house, seal it and forget about it for 4-6 weeks depending on temp. Power washer really helps speed removal of stubborn stuff along with small wire brush for detail. While skull is still damp I take a spray bottle with peroxide and soak it down. Not sure how to post pics or I'd show rams from the last few years. Good luck.

Easiest way I found so far is call up bluetick. Let him take care of it for ya!

Simmer it in a big pot of water with some borax poured in. Don't boil it, just simmer. After about 2 hours, all the meat will fall off or be cooked enough to be really easy to pick off. The borax will get the grease out of the bone. Works great and doesn't take weeks.

Not mis informed. It does work and makes for a cool "earthy look" just wait 6 months, digg up and clean off. 1st pic

Or if you want to work a little bit and have it done sooner boil it then bleach it... Your choice. 2nd pic.

Here's a couple different beetle cleaned, degreased and whitened skulls.
