    Aerobic Septic System ?

Anyone know how far a structure has to be from a spray head? i want to extend my patio but need to know my limits. Cant find it anywhere on the dang world wide web. Montgomery County if that matters.

Do not quote me but I don't believe there is a limit on how close a structure can be other than it might get wet. I think the only limit is how close to the property line.

You can buy different inserts for the sprinkler heads to control how far it will shoot water

no there is a state code somewhere i just cant find it that states how far structures, trees, and property lines have to be from the spray head.

I tried to install one on the coast for a beautiful house on a canal. Turns out I had to buy a lot across the street to install a sprinkler system due to the regulations which meant digging a ditch across the street. I sold the place and I'm sure the sewer goes straight to the canal now like all the rest. We have regulated ourselves out of common sense.

I installed these for a construction company when i was in college. I did not do any of the planning (engineer does that) but i don't remember there being regulation for buildings. The water that comes out of an aerobic system is treated water. It is not raw sewage. That is why i would think there is no regulation about distance from a structure. But yes there is one on property lines.

The only thing I remember when I had mine put in was that the spray had to be at least 100 feet from a water well and 50 feet from a pond. I didn't understand how treated water sprayed on the surface could affect a 350 foot deep water well, but I didn't question since distance wasn't an issue.

if i remember right the spray has to be 10 feet away from the structure and 25 feet away from a pool. just went through all this crud about two years ago when we had a pool put in. ended up having to put a drip system in (reminder do not fight with the county inspector for two hours about code issues. they get ****** and make your life hell)

the spray cant hit within 10ft of the property line, you can adjust the spray rotation from full to half to quarter. the homeowner can move the heads, just keep it on your spray on your property

We have that type of system and the heads are real close to trees.
