    raccoon trapping ideas

Alright guys the raccoons are tearing up my feeders and I want to kill all those suckers. I know I can sit in a tree at night and weait for them, but I would like to trap them. I have 3 types of traps, a live trap, some coon cuffs, and some jaw traps. I have heard of putting foil on the plate of the jaw trap and putting it in on the water line around a tank or creek. ?Would this idea work if there was not a full moon? I just looking for ideas and suggestions. Thanks.

One single large marshmallow in DogProof Trap. Put the marshmallow down the center of the trigger prong. Works like a charm!!!!

Ditto on marshmallows for bait. The perfect coon bait. Not messy, cheap and easy...... Kind of like my girlfriends.

I'd put a jaw trap in a tree if you are going to use it. That way you don't get a deer/dog/pig in it. The other two are my go-to for coons. Set 3-4 live traps at a time and along with sleve traps you will have them.

I mass trap every few months. Set 12 dog proof traps 20 feet apart on trails leading up to feeder. Again, single large marshmallow in center of trigger pin. No mess, simple easy, works.

This will work very well and I have used it until the skunks showed up. I do not enjoy skunks in a live trap. I now use fruit, peanut butter or banana Moon pies. Skunks want fish or meat not junk food like coons.
