Bass Pro Benbrook??????????

Has anyone heard of a bass pro going in Benbrook? I was told they are looking into the new development at Winscott Rd. and I20.

Yall heard anything of this???

Yes, been rumored for a while. Would be interesting to see how they compete with academy. There sure is plenty of space and the proximity to the lake is inline with bass pro standards.

I drive by there everyday. After stopping and looking at the "coming soon" sign I checked out the website for the development: http://thetrailsshopping.com/
It looks like their plan is to have a big anchor like Bass Pro or Cabela's but as far as I know their are no details yet. I read that construction was supposed to start this year but who knows in this economy - I would think filing it with retailers would be tough right now.

Last I heard. The head honcho over the complete development who calls all the shots on the highend shopping supercenter and Bass Pro shop didn't like the land, layout,etc and had decided not to build there. Supposedly the highend shopping stores were gonna build around the Bass Pro store layout. Brother in law is a detective there and been keeping me updated.
