    What's a good fillet knife?

I have a couple rapala soft grips and they just dont hold an edge very well... I prefer a non electric knife. What would you recommend? Anyone tried the Case fillet knives?

A coworker guides saltwater fishing on his days off and has been doing so for several years. This Rada is the knife that he uses and fillets sometimes around 100 fish a week. He has tried several and this is the one he now uses for all of his trips. He also uses the one below with the RADA sharpener to keep it sharp with one or two passes of the blade.

This topic comes up often on 2cool. Dexter Russell seems to be the overwhelming favorite. I got my 1st one for Christmas this year and that thing is surgical....keeps its edge very well too. Think the model I got was only ~$30

I use a Ka Bar Mark1 sharpened like a razor. Cuts anything like warm butter baby!

                    Dexter Russel

I like the Dexter Russel. Fishing guide turned me on to them a few years ago.

Ive been using this model knife for year's. No need in spending a bunch of money. I laugh at electric knives!

Non electric is OK for specks and crappie. Try them on the Blue cat and its no good. I finally found an electric that will stand up the big cat torture. American Angler
