Cloudy water in above ground pool

Chemicals are in great shape. PH 7.2 Alkalinity 100 Cyanuric acid 50 Copper, iron and phoshpates good. Pool is a milky light blue. Keep adding shock to try and keep the chlorine level high. Going on two weeks now and no change. Ran the pool rover till it came clean, and keep sweeping the bottom. No change. Is there something else I don't know about. I am using the Intex cartridge filter and am wondering if that will not work, but I do clean the cartridge once day. Any suggestions? Counting on the GS!!!

Ya sounds like your filter is inadequate in some way or another.

It's a filtration problem. The small catridge can't and won't get it clean. Go to your local pool supply place and tell them you need to flock your pool. I usually use a product called down and out. Put the flock in and use you pole and brush to get it distributed in the water and turn pump off. Should be clear by morning. Then just pump it out. If that's not an option. Then drain and refill. Yes I'm a pool guy. Above ground pools are hard to keep clear.

What do you mean by just pump it out?

I see your in Aledo. Go to g&d in weatherford or I think there's a place by the Walmart there in Hudson oaks that will help you. Good guys at both places.

There's a Leslie's and a Bonnie and Clyde's by Wally world. I think Leslie's is better but what's your opinion?

I'd go to Leslie's if that's your 2 options. I have a pump to pump out the debris left from the chemical. I'll pm you my number. I don't mind helping a TBH brother out.

I think it is a high protein level. Not gonna cure itself anytime soon.

Get a water polisher, it will take care of it.
