    bowfishing question?

This time of year with the heat picking up what is the best time a day to catch the fish shallow and coming to the top?

right now in my area fish are spawning and on nest in shallow water. some folks are shooting them all day long because they are hanging out in shallow water. i only fish at night though so im not much help there.

after the spawn and nesting is done it just really depends on what kind of critter you are after. they all act different.

Best time of year is right now during the spawn, best time of day I'm not sure... Anytime during the day the gar and carp will be tearing the water up in the shallows. Other then that your best chances are at night

I have never bowfished at night. I usually catch them spawning and they do it all day. In the past, we would shoot them on the way back to the boat ramp after a September teal hunt at about 9am. This past weekend we bowfished from about 11am until 1pm. It was steady.
