Where's Troy when you need him?

This was about 100 yards from our house. This is also only about 250 yards from the Elementary school the girls go to. We talked to the girls last night about it and asked what they would do if they went by it. Malyn’s response was that she would get her 22 and shoot it! After rethinking and giving a list ofr small animals such as squirrels, birds, bunnies(Yes, she said bunnies!) that a 22 could really kill. She proceeded to let us know that she would get Blane, and that Blane could use Daddy’s AR-15 to kill it! Gotta love a kid with a plan and knows the proper application of firepower!

I offered to help the deputies before the GW got there! They didn't like my offer. My neighbor is one of the ones talking about them shooting the "poor" gator. I think they actually darted it and relocated the thing! Wonder if she would have had the same attitude about it if their dog Booger's tail was dangling out his mouth?

Yep, all I could think was belt, boots, and pretty dang good meal! It amazes me that people can't see some inherent dangers when it comes to wild animals! "Awe, that's just worng they shot him." Really? That's my next door neighbor. wonder if he would like to borrow a weapon when he hears his daughter screaming because the thing is chasing/attacking her? I kind of get a kick out of watching greased pig wrestling trying to get it loaded into the truck! Hey, how bout dropping the tailgate off the cables?

Hve had several neighbors complain about dillos rooting up their flower beds! I try nicely to explain to them how quiet a bow is! They looked at me like I was the spwan of Satan! Oh well, the word must have spread after the first couple I got rid of. I haven't had a dillo problem in a few years!

Can you imagine if they let you shoot it, everyone on the block is recording with their cameras and cell phones, they're all over the news, bad bad bad. They have a duty to remove the animal before they kill it, that's what we have a game warden and animal control for. As long as its not posing an immediate threat.

That's the one thing missing from the internet! The sarcasm button. All was said in jest and taken that way from the LEOs. The situation was absolutely handled correctly by them and a responsible neighbor! The looky loos and their comments are just baffling though!

Heck, that video out there might not be a bad idea! Then the neighbors know where to come for help! Or to stay away! See, more sarcasm!
