I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this time has been. I encourage you to continue to share your thoughts during this time....not expressing them will only certainly cause more pain.

My thoughts and prayers are definitely with you guys.

Not sure how I missed this and I really do not have the words to express my sorrow or have a clue what to say other than you seem to be doing better than I could ever expect if I were in your shoes.

Prayers are all I can offer!

Thank you for having the courage, and enduring the difficulty of sharing all you have with us. I will absolutely hug my kids tonight and remind them how much their mother and I love them.

                  God bless you.

My deepest condolences to you and your family, I too lost my oldest son to suicide, it has been 5 years and I still do not have the answers to my questions. Lean on the Lord and your friends and family. If there is anything in the world I can do for you, I am here. I am not sure how I missed this for so long

Right now we are getting through each day by remembering all the good stuff. One of his friends started a facebook page in his honor, and a lot of the kids have shared stories about Zach that we had never heard. His tremendous appetite is one thing that comes up often and we get a good laugh out of hearing how much he ate at other peoples houses. As he got older it was a lot cheaper for us when he got invited over for dinner at a friends.

I'd like to share a story of my own about Zach when he was six years old.

I had been down in Webb County on a pig sticking trip and the fleas were horrendous that year. Every javi and hog that we shot were infested with them. At the end of each night I would hang my camo on a fence then bag them up in the morning. Thing is I get a bad reaction to flea bites and came home swelled up pretty bad with bites. Joie wasn't too happy when she started washing my clothes and finding all the fleas I had brought home with me. Two days after I was home Zach's school called to tell us he was covered in red bumps. One of his teachers noticed them when he was on the playground. She tried to catch him to look at them, and when she caught him she told him he had chicken pox. Zach argued up and down with her that I had given him fleas and he didn't have chicken pox! That was a hard one to explain.

By the way, it turned out to be chicken pox!

                        -----------------------------------------------------------------

A few pics of Zach doing something he did well, EAT!
