Glad you are ok Timm. I had an incident a couple of months ago and scared myself. All was well but it reminded me to keep up the workouts. I have lost 50 pounds in the last two years. Long way to go, but I am getting there. I have an appointment today to see about a sleep test. Seems like it's two steps forward and one step back sometimes. Keep working, we will get there.

This is my program right now. It may not be for you, so look around on the site to find one that works. I highly recommend you start a cardio program first and then build up to weights.
90% will be your diet. Get that under control and you will be amazed at the weight loss.

Glad to hear that you were not having a heart attack and that you are committed to following up with a cardiologist. Also, congratulations on not ignoring the symptoms and getting yourself to a hospital quickly, rather than doing what too many men do and that is denying (even to themselves) that they might be having a heart attack. I do suggest, however, that if this ever happens again, you consider calling EMS and not driving yourself. If you are having a heart attack, the EMS techs can assess that in the field and can take the appropriate steps to get you the best care at the most appropriate place and in the shortest amount of time.
I've worked in cardiac catheterization labs for many years (we perform the angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements), and can tell you that getting to the correct facility as quickly as possible leads to the best outcomes.
Best of luck with your follow-up doctor visits. Stay well.

hang tough and do the stress test
In 2004 I couldn't finish mowing the yard. went to St.Luke's. they admitted me that night. the next morning I had a heart attack on the treadmill during the stress test. one blockage was 99% the other was 90%. 2- stents and they sent me home the next day at lunch. been fine, with medications since.
