Sounds good.... I just bought a savage hoghunter in the .223 that comes already tapped and ready to add one on with a 20 inch medium heavy barrel.. Pretty nice little gun, especially for the price

You've hit on a could big ones.

      less recoil increases accuracy
The suppressors well make rifles hearing safe. Aside from protecting hearing, I believe this could also improve hunter safety since you'll be able to hear your surroundings better and communicate more easily with other people you are hunting with
Less recoil means that it can also make shooting/hunting more fun for kids and maybe women who haven't been interested in shooting

It can also stimulate the local economy as there are several Texas based suppressor manufacturers as well as the local dealers who will handle the transfers.

So at about a grand each you think this cant be done?
If they were going to pop that monster deer on that lonely road with a silenced weapon why wouldn't they have already done it? Just because it's now legal to hunt with them doesn't mean they are gonna do it illegally. If a man was over 21 he could have already had a suppressor before it was legal to hunt with them and could have already been doing this silenced poaching. Making it legal to hunt with silenced weapons won't increase the amount of 'silenced poaching'

I'm super stoked about Collin County getting a archery seaons.

Do any of you know where I can find a site that talks about this passing? I couldn't find anything.

I would be putting a new barrel on it as well... Thanks, good point...
