    Bow Firing Mishap Questions-Semi-Long

    Backstory:
So yesterday, I was letting lose some arrows at varying yards. I had been doing this for oh say 45 minutes or so. I noticed I was starting to feel a little fatigued doing this. But the sun was going down, and I wanted to shoot just a few more arrows. So I pull back, with an arrow in place, my thumb release slipped out of my hand, and boom. As I said I had an arrow in it, so it wasn't technically a dry fire. I looked at my bow, and noticed that my bow stop rubber end was gone, and my string glide had broken off my bow.

    Questions:

Did I screw up my bow by doing this?
Can I get a new rubber end for my string stop anywhere?
Can I use any old String glide?

I have a strother infininty bow FYI.

I can say I learned my lesson for sure, that when Im feeling slightly fatigued time to put the bow down for at least a while.

bring the bow in to your local Strother dealer and have them go over it thoroughly

You could, however if they don't handle your brand, they may not want to work on it. Some shops are "brand" loyal and pass up possible future sales by turning away work or repairs like this. 45 minutes isn't really that far!lol

lol..yeah thats 45 minutes according to google with no traffic, or construction in place. I was hoping to go yote and turkey hunting with it this weekend. Ohh well. Guess I will have to shelve it, until I get to decatuer.

Well good news, no permanent damage on the bow. Got a new rubber end for the bow string stop, and a new string guide. Awesome. Back in business.
