What are the warmest socks!?!?

There was a time when I thought the best thing to do when it was cold was to wear more and more socks. I've since learned that the best thing I can do is to wear one pair of the best socks I can find and wear them in a pair of boots with room to spare. Moving the toes and not having a tight boot keeps my feet warm. I don't know what smart wool is, but I do know that when it's cold, I have some heavy wool blend socks on my feet.

There are a lot of choices on the smartwool website. I see you can get whatever height you want (3/4 crew, crew, etc.). How can you tell which ones are the warmest?

I've got several pair of wool socks from Academy. Combine them with Muck Woody Max boots and "Toasty toes" from Wal-mart and I'm good to go.

I just purchased a pair of Under Armour socks and they are the warmest pair I own but looks like I need to check out the smart wool

This is the only under armour I own, but they do work.
