You can still run past age 50

And race also. I did yesterday's Rock and Roll Half Marathon here in Dallas yesterday. I didn't get my sub- two hour marathon. I ran it in 2:01:04 (two hours, one minute, and four seconds). Still not bad for a guy who is a couple of months away from 53 years old. A acquantance on mine who is 55 and had both knees operated on last year ran it in 2:26.

    Old guys rule!

Hopefully, I'll be able to post some pics later.

    Anyone else run this race?

Me waving at Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Didn't know my wife was on the other side taking this picture. Told her I was waving, not looking.

I think I had something in my mouth. I don't usually have that expression on my face.

Congrats man. Heck yes we can still run! Way to represent at the race. And anybody that runs the half in 2 hours (plus or minus but who's counting) at ANY age is doing very good. Awesome job!

Good on ya!!! Wish my knee and back would tolerate running again. Have lots of "army miles" on me, and it is telling.

I understand. I ran a lot of miles in combat boots and that can screw you up good.

Huge congrats on a half! My Mom just ran her first 5k this weekend in Seattle at the age of 63. I'm proud of her too.

It's never too late to start, IMO.
