My brother and I are driving home and I see an old truck on the side of the road and about 100 yards up the road there's an old man walking with a gas can so we decided to give him a ride to town which is about 6 miles away. As I am moving stuff around for him to get in the back of the truck I see a full gas can my dad put in there earlier today so I told him I will give him some gas right now so he can at least make it to town. I didnt ask his name or talk very much with him. I just gave him gas and I was ready to get back on the road. This is a 4 lane hwy. Well he takes off in front of us and about 1 mile down the road we see this guy cross from the far right lane all the way to the far left lane and I am thinking he is about to fly off a hill. He gets it back under control and we are not sure what is going on with this guy. We follow him a few more miles and he hits the ditch on the right side going about 65. We are about 1 mile from our turnoff and we realize he has to be drunk or just one bad driver. I seen him make it to a gas station and thats the last I saw of him. Heres my question. Would you have called the law or not? He didnt seem to be drunk or on anything when I was talking to him. I would have hated to see this guy hit someone head on after I helped get him back on the road. Luckily no vehicles we around at that moment. This was on 183 between Lometa and Goldthwaite today. sorry for long read.

NOTE: If you didn't smell it on him... he wasn't THAT drunk.
