    Anyone familiar with PayPal?

I am not very familiar with PayPal, I have used it to buy stuff but never sell, I posted an 95 SS impala on autotrader. I have someone wanting to buy for 14,000 but due to her being on the water somewhere she can pay me with PayPal. So how do I get the money from PayPal? Is it safe?

    It may be a scam.

That is the most recent one going around, they tell you they are in Nigeria or some crap and tell you they will paypal you the money. Ask the person why they are looking in your area for a car when they are overseas or in another state.

If you talk the person and they have a sold bio then maybe I would deal with them.

BTW paypal is great, link it to your bank account and you can send and recieve money.

Paypal is great and very safe but I would have the money in my bank acct before the car goes anywhere. Usually if they are too far away to do it in person, its a scam. Be very careful.....

Have you talked to them on the phone? If they refuse to communicate on the phone or give an excuse don't waste your time.

Quickest most unstressful way to handle it. Offer to speak on the phone once and nothing else.

They will not talk on the phone and will never meet in person.

Every time I post something on CList I get an email from at least two or three scammers. They got where they will send text messages. Most come from a NY number.

PayPal is awesome but this does seem to be leaning towards a scam.

The vehicle is in great condition, I can't sit here and tell you it is flawless but for a 17yr old black car it still looks and runs great. Now please do not be offended but with this day and age of scams I need to be careful, first is there way I can tell you are PayPal certified? *Second please understand I will not release the car until the funds are in my bank account not my paypal account, I will withdraw immediately upon payment to expedite this process as quickly as possible but cannot and will not release the car until funds are in my bank account. *I hope I am not being rude but I have been stung before and it's my understanding these type of transfers can take time. *Let me know if your still interested. *Thank you for your time.*

                      Thomas*

                      My response to there email

That should have you covered if they are willing to do it.
